  We are chartered town planners who specialise in obtaining planning consent on strategic land primarily on greenfield property. We have experience and successes in complex cases and consult for landowners and key stakeholders throughout the entirety of the project lifecycle.
  
  We are used to working on large single ownership sites or within teams as part of a consortium. We are presently representing the majority holdings in two garden villages delivering more than 7,500 homes. Including the rest of our current portfolio this makes us one of the largest planning promoters in the UK.
  
  We are extremely selective about the schemes we undertake to ensure that we can commit the appropriate time and resource to each of the projects we are working on. We are also committed to delivering the cutting edge of solutions from renewable energy, driverless and electric vehicles, communication and internet infrastructure to innovative technology that enhances community integration.

South Wokingham SDL Extension Public Consultation

On Friday 14^th June, Lightwood, in conjunction with Nicholas King Homes, shared their emerging proposals for a new neighbourhood at South Wokingham.

The site was identified in Wokingham Borough Council’s new draft Local Plan 2026-2040 for housing growth as an Extension to the South Wokingham SDL, which has been part built out already. Lightwood Strategic and Nicholas King Homes are working together to establish a coordinated masterplanning approach for the creation of this new neighbourhood to the south of Wokingham.

The event was well attended and the comments balanced and fair. The plans will now be refined in response to those comments ahead of the submission of an outline planning application later in the Summer.
